Imagine if you will, an all black female cult, based in the city of Atlanta. Here, women are taught that they are the dominant gender and males are evil. Each faction has their own responsibilities, which equates self-sufficiency. The cycle of life within this community is amazing, because the reader is taken on a journey behind the gated walls.
Pandora, the daughter of one of the council women, senses that something isn’t right and ventures outside of the walls, in search of her missing friend. She takes Princess and Raven with her. Each young lady experiences something that will change her life forever.
Khalin has been hired to investigate the possible kidnapping that goes back 30 years. He is also led to believe that his biological mother is also a member of the Black Women Separatists. What he discovers is so much more.
This 💎💎💎💎💎 book by @authordesiree played across the screen, reminding one of The Handmaids Tale. I was completely blown away by the fact that the cult had members from all areas of life, and the ideologies that they instilled in them. I was left wanting to know more about Raven, Desmond, Seraí, Khalin, Stacie (and her husbands), Princess and Erin.
I’m about to go in on this catalog!
