Young Patricia Williams aka Rabbit grew up in Atlanta, Georgia surrounded by an family…each with their own issues. As the family begins to fall apart, she is left with a crack addicted mother, who turned a blind eye to her hungry, ill cared for children.
A single mother of two, at the age of fifteen, Rabbit turned to a life of shoplifting, stolen credit cards and eventually selling drugs. Thru it all, she was blessed with angels on earth, that helped mold her into something more than the street life.
I loved the way she took in family members and their children, when she was just a child herself. I was also elated by the fact that she finally found true happiness, which eventually led to life as a stand-up comedienne.
Prior to reading this book, I had no idea of who Ms. Pat was, but now I have a new-found respect for this woman. I also plan to watch her show.
